Caroline and David wowed their guests with a winter wedding packed with entertainment and a colourful fusion of cultures.
Meticulous planning is the essential ingredient that underpins a successful wedding day. Caroline and David left nothing to chance on their special day. They were out to impress and delight their guests, whilst still being able to relax and enjoy themselves on the day.
The reception was held at Hetherden Hall in the beautiful grounds of Pinewood Studios, where the new James Bond film was being shot at the time. David, an ardent Bond fan, chose this location as it reflected the couple’s in-joke about David’s alter ego ‘Agent 700’ – the Irish Bond equivalent!
Not many couples can say they had a live orchestra playing during their wedding ceremony! It didn’t stop there – guests were entertained during the reception by a harp and violin, singers, two dance groups, and a live band. If you add those to all the usual elements of a wedding; car, cake, dress, flowers, magician, etc, etc, you get a sense of the organizational skills of this couple.
Caroline and David’s roots are Indian and Irish respectively, and they wanted to celebrate this cultural fusion in the most lively and entertaining way possible – how better to achieve this than through dance and music. Traditional Irish and Indian dancers alternated performances before coming together for a breathtaking joint finale.
Winter weddings are at the mercy of the weather, but it could not have turned out better. The lighting was perfect for the couple shots in the garden and it later blossomed into one of the finest sunsets.
The guests came from all corners of the world. David said in his speech that it was like a meeting of the G7. In fact Bond fused with Bollywood as the couple made their grand evening entrance to the sound of Indian drums, which was soon followed by energetic performances by Irish and Indian dancers. The fusion of cultures encapsulated the couple’s roots in great style, creating an unforgettable experience in this most eclectic of wedding days.
Caroline & David recently established their own company called Anything is Possible Events LTD, and used their wedding as a springboard to launch the business, offering bespoke wedding and event planning. They certainly lived up to that name with the meticulous planning that went into every aspect of their big day, from the live orchestra right through to the amazing fusion theme of Indian and Irish cultures. We wish them well in their new and exciting venture.
